March

March unedited.
March went fast.

The penny was retired. What does a person do with them all? Pinterest has some good ideas. I might have to try some.
We did a bit of 'hiking'. Emily even came out with us. I didn't do any editing. The days have been dreary, and dismal, and I wanted to show that.
There was a lot of "oh, look over there, that's {insert any place in Kelowna}, I didn't know it was so close to {insert any other place in Kelowna}!" Then we had to buy a treat. All trips out with E end in buying a treat.
Then we decided to take a trip to the US! Yay for American candy and pop! Sadly, one of us doesn't have a current passport. Boo. So we went for a road trip and stayed in Canada. We went to the Summerland Research Station. It was dismal too. Not much was green. Not much was flowering. The most exciting part was the bear poop full of apples. And I wasn't allowed to photograph it. We stopped at Summerland Sweets and got our few months supply of syrup too.
I want some of this grass. I love it.
"Hey, go stand by my favourite grass!" I said.
"Ok!" she said, and after I picked my shocked self up and dusted camera off, I took a picture.
There were a few crocuses coming up.

M-R gave her the green hoodie. It's a great colour for her. Can't lose her anywhere!

I got this one as we were driving. It's 79% better than the one I got when we stopped to actually take a picture.
Linus, sun-flare, sparse back yard.
March means warmer weather, which means cooler drinks. So I bought us all one of these.
One day, MM said "Let's go camping for Easter."  And I said "Ok."
This is the view of Kelowna from where we stayed.
The following camping photos are taken with the 50d. Amelia gave me the idea to take that instead of my 5d. I was worried the cold weather and leaving it unattended would cause me too much stress.
We took the Gramper out for it's first real camping trip in years. It's old, it's clean, it's paid for. We didn't even need to run the furnace. We couldn't have asked for a nicer weekend to try it out.

We had deep-fryed turkey for Easter dinner. Nothing lit on fire. That is until the ladies left the fire area, and someone wanted to dump the left over oil on the fire, and someone else thought a cup of oil would be a better idea. Then there were 8 foot flames and some people almost got bare bum spankings.

Half an hour later, voila! Brown and yummy. I'm talking about the turkey.

A stranger took this photo for us. M said I looked like I didn't want to give him my camera. He came out of no where and said "I'll take one of all of you!"  She was right, but I'm glad I did. He could have done a little better, but it's not bad. By the way, we hiked, a long ways up, and we didn't die.
This one's one of my favourites. The Easter bunny found the kids.

Be sure to check out Amelia's March. She's been under the weather so we'll cut her some slack. (I was a day late so who am I to judge?)

Good to see some of your pics. I haven't been by in awhile. Trying to get back into visiting some my blog buddies again.
